Tried and tested. The things I've forgotten. The things I did not need to bring. Ladies and gentlemen, it's here: the long-awaited tell-all. Let's go.
Clothes
Having clean clothes to change into will make all the difference. I prefer hiking in biker shorts or athletic shorts that won't get caught on trees or rocks and will be comfortable to wear.
Outfit for day 1: t-shirt, biker shorts, socks, sports bra
Outfit for day 2: clean shirt/top, clean shorts, socks
Extra pair of socks
PJs: sweatpants, sweatshirt, cozy socks
Pair of sandals
Hiking boots/sneakers
Swimsuit
Hygiene
Don't forget any necessary medications - if you realize you're allergic to something, having allergy meds is a lifesaver! Packing something you can wash your face with is critical to feeling clean before sleeping for the night. Personally I don't enjoy sleeping in bug spray.
